We are new to Korean BBQ and found this place quite pleasant. Let's take this step by step discussing in detail. Salad bar area: the only items I grabbed were fresh onions, zucchini and garlic to grill with the meat, the cucumbers (which were super salty and I am a heavy handed salt user) and the cold noodle dish which was ok. I regret not going back and trying the other stuff. My daughter loved the kimchi! The meat portions were very generous in comparison to other places I have been to. Other Korean BBQ restaurant's that we have been to only had two flavored meat options. This place served the most seasoned meat selection that we have seen. We tried all meats on the lunch menu and the squid was very fresh tasting. My only complaint was I am a spicy person and there was no option to add spice other than jalapeño, some sort of chile oil or sriracha would have been delicious. It was definitely my fault for not asking for any of it is something they do have. Other than that everything tasted great. SMALL PORTIONS ARE AN OPTION... The "sauce plate": the white sesame oil had a really good flavor and it's my favorite thing to add to rice w salt and pepper. The other liquid was slightly sweet and went really well with some of the unflavored meats! Silken egg was super just a beautifully lucious texture and it was really enjoyed. At home I dress it up a little more, but this was good. Tofu soup: I had one piece of tofu in my tofu soup and about a half cup of mushrooms. I wish there was a little more balance, but other wise it was good. Service: We had a young female server who was very attentive, explained everything well, and was prompt with items needed. Her service was well appreciated. Grill itself: I asked to turn the heat up and the server promptly did. Our grills were replaced often and without us asking her to. Cleanliness: the restaurant was very clean. WOULD WE RETURN? Absolutely!!

As good as it can be for Fresno! The inside is generally pretty clean and the service is pretty good every time I go. They have separate lunch and dinner items + prices. However, on the weekends, you just pay the dinner price and have access to the dinner items. $33 per person. It is important to keep in mind that you also have to pay for drinks, even if it's water! They only provide bottles of water, so you do have to pay a $1 for water with no free refills which is a bummer. They have a variety of banchan (side dishes) they offer (i.e. radish kimichi, cabbage kimchi, cucumber kimchi, japchae, and korean potato salad, etc.) however, they do come in small styrofoam cups. While they are small, they are unlimited and the servers are also willing to bring extra! Additionally, they offer sides such as: tofu soup, steamed egg, and steamed rice! All of which are unlimited as well! Their tofu soup is literally to die for. I dream about that soup. It's the perfect spice level for me and is a great pairing for the meal. I easily put away two of these during my Shila outings. They also provide a complimentary pajeon at the start of the meal which is yummy. You can also get extra of those if you ask nicely. As for the meat, I think they offer a great selection. They have all your kbbq classics! You can pick 3 meats at a time and they check in every so often to ask if you want another round. Note: if you don't finish all your meat, you do have to pay an extra cost! I haven't been to other korean bbq places outside of Fresno, so for me, this place is pretty good! Since this place is pricy, it's even more incentive to eat your weight and food to get your money's worth tbh. I enjoy my time here and it's always such a fun experience when I come here with friends or family.

Tonight, we headed to Shiela's Korean Barbecue for a delightful dinner, my girlfriend, my brother, and I. The culinary experience was, as always, fantastic, with impeccably clean tables and a swift supply of delectable meats. While the overall dining experience was praiseworthy, I couldn't award it a perfect 5/5 stars due to the relatively high dinner cost--$33 per person. Understandably, it's an all-you-can-eat affair, but the price point may be a stretch for the average blue-collar worker. Nevertheless, the quality of the food and the excellence of the service stood out, making it a memorable evening overall.
